Our Message

I think I can speak for each and every one of our over-70 professional staff, over-40 board volunteers and over-100 community volunteers in saying that we love our work!  We love the difference that we make in young people's lives.  We love contributing to the betterment of our community and our region.  We love it every time a member improves his grades.  We love it when a child learns a new skill or experiences something they've never done before.  We love the hugs and the smiles.  We love it when one of our former members calls us to let us know how she or he is doing or, better yet, invites us to attend their college graduation or their wedding.  We even love it when we can comfort a young person through a personal tragedy.  We love it when they turn to us for guidance and hope.

We simply love making a difference.

The most gratifying part of the collective difference we make is that we are making a difference together.  While the individual relationships with our children are the building blocks of their successes, the teamwork, the trust and the values that we share with each other and with our community of friends and supporters are really what will make a difference in our community and in our world.
